Common questions

Electrical work, explained

From switchboard upgrades to EV chargers, here's what to expect before, during and after the job.

Still have a question?

Call a registered electrician direct, no call centre.

Are your electricians licensed?

Yes. Every electrician on the job is a registered electrical worker, EWRB licensed, so the work is legal, safe and insurable.

Do I get a certificate when the job's finished?

Yes. We issue a Certificate of Compliance on every job, your proof the work meets New Zealand wiring standards.

Can you install a Tesla charger?

Yes. We're an approved Tesla Wall Connector installer, and we also fit Wallbox, Zappi and Schneider Electric chargers.

How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?

Signs include old fuses instead of circuit breakers, warm switch plates, or a board that can't take an EV charger or heat pump. We check it and tell you straight.

Do you work on small businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We handle switchboard upgrades, LED lighting and fault finding for homeowners and small business owners across Auckland.

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Grey Lynn and serve Auckland. See our service areas page for details on your suburb.

Can you connect solar and battery systems?

Yes. We wire and certify solar and battery connections, from the panels through the inverter to your switchboard.
